CHELSEA BID €35 FOR ROMA MIDFIELDER

CHELSEA MAKE €35M BID FOR NAINGGOLAN
By uwoghiren

The blues are ready to offer €35 million plus add-ons to sign Radja Nainggolan from Roma and held talks with the Italian club on Thursday,
Goal can confirm.
A Roma delegation comprising of director of football Walter Sabatini and agent Ramy Abbas visited Stamford Bridge to discuss the Belgium midfielder and Mohamed Salah, who Abbas represents.
Reports in Italy have suggested Abbas will also be involved in the brokering of any deal for the Roma midfielder
Nainggolan features on the list of players targeted by new Blues boss Antonio Conte along with his Roma team-mate Kostas Manolas, who has also been linked with Arsenal.
Chelsea declined to comment on the meeting but Goal understands talks are ongoing over the transfer of Nainggolan.
Salah joined Roma on loan from Chelsea in August and could make his move to the Stadio Olimpico permanent at the end of the season.

WAYNE BACK IN TRAINING

Wayne Rooney has returned to training, but will not be risked in Manchester United's crucial trip to Tottenham on Sunday by uwoghiren
A knee injury has kept the united captain out for nearly two months, but he is closing in on a first-team return.
Rooney this week took part in two training sessions as he stepped up his rehabilitation, although Louis van Gaal will not risk him at title-contender Spurs on Sunday.
Instead, the England skipper will line up at Old Trafford on Monday as United's Under-21 side host Middlesbrough.
"No (he won't play at Tottenham), he's playing for the Under-21s," said manager Van Gaal.
"It's going very well. He has trained with us two times - only two times so it's not too much.
"He has to build up his capacity in the 21s team."

MOURINHO TO RETURN TO MANAGEMENT IN SUMMER

MOURINHO GUARANTEE HE WILL BE BACK IN SUMMER
By uwoghiren
Jose Mourinho says he can “almost guarantee” he will be back in managerial action this summer and has "good offers on the table" as speculation surrounding his future continues.
The Portuguese has been out of work since leaving his second spell in charge of Chelsea back in December after a huminating start to the season with the Chelsea.
The former inter Milan coach has been heavily linked with replacing Louis van Gaal at Manchester United, meanwhile he has also been linked to Real Madrid should Zinedine Zidane fail to win the Champions League.
"I can almost guarantee you that I’ll be back working this summer," he told Portuguese newspaper O Jogo . "I’ve good offers on the table.
"It’s a matter of thinking, to come to a good decision and finalise it. In the summer, at the end of the season, everyone will know what my next club will be”.
While he did not reveal which offers he has on the table, he did say he is ready to go after months out of the game
"One thing is certain, my future won’t be at Estoril or Pacos, because they’re both having great seasons and won’t change manager," he joked
"I’ll take my ideas to where they wanted. I want to be at a place where I’m truly wanted.
"After a few months to recharge my batteries, I'll be ready to go with everything I have to give
"I want to work at a club with responsibility, in a hard league, where there’re no easy objectives. That doesn’t leave many options."

Diehard Arsenal fan in Malaysia does Arsenal themed wedding

You know your partner really loves you when she lets you do this on her wedding day! A Malaysian Die-hard Arsenal fan last weekend hosted an extravagant Arsenal themed wedding where the dance floor was hilariously replaced by a mini football pitch whilst the couple used the Arsenal emblem on their menu. All the guests at the wedding wore Arsenal jerseys.
Amazing

Am beginning to feel proud that support arsenal.

Tips to boost your performance at interviews

Interviews are your best opportunity to sell your skills and abilities. Also, they give you a chance to know if the job and company are right for you. The following are therefore tips to boost your interview performance.

1. Go through common interview questions.

You can virtually find interview questions online. Find someone to practice answering them with or do that in front of a mirror. You need to come prepared with stories that relate to the skills that the recruiter wants, while emphasizing:

• Your strengths
• Your willingness to work and flexibility
• Your leadership skills
• Your ability and willingness to learn new things or ideas
• Your contributions to the organizations in which you have worked
• Your creativity in solving problems and working with people

Find out in advance how well you are suitable for the job. With this, you will know if you lack a particular skill. Plan how you will convince the interviewer that you can learn the skill that you lack.

2. Prepare a list of questions you would like to ask during the interview.

Here, choose questions that will demonstrate your interest in the job and of course, the company. This might involve giving a comment on the news you came across on the company’s website, and asking a question in relation to it. Furthermore, ask questions based on the job you will be expected to perform. These may include:

• What your day-to-day responsibilities of the job would be like.
• How your responsibilities and performance would be measured and by whom.
• Ask them to explain their organizational structure.
• What computer equipment and software are being used.
• The organization’s plan for the next five years.

3. Be adequately prepared.

Remember to go with important items to the interview. These include:

• Copies of your CV
• Notebook and pens
• Copies of letter(s) of recommendation, licenses, transcripts, etc (if applicable)
• Portfolio of work samples (if applicable)

4. On the interview day, be sure to:

• Arrive there 15 to 20 minutes early.
• Dress appropriately in a manner relevant to the job. Appear professional.
• Turn off your mobile phone.
• Go with your sense of humor and remember to smile!

5. Exhibit a high level of confidence during the interview.

Your level of boldness must be firm but let the interviewer begin the dialogue. Your body language must reflect a positive message.

• If a hand is offered to you by the interviewer, shake it firmly.
• Maintain eye contact with him/her/them.
• Be attentive. Welcome all questions with a smile even the difficult ones.
• Give honest answers and be direct with them.
• Answers must be developed speedily in your head first before you respond. Be sure to understand the questions asked before you respond, otherwise, ask for it to be repeated or clarified. Take your time to give appropriate answers.

6. Conclude the interview with a good impression.

Ending the interview with a good impression is another great way to ensure your success.

• Be polite and allow the interview to end as at when due.
• Summarize any strengths and experiences that you might not have mentioned earlier.
• Mention a particular activity or achievement that fits the job.
• Enquire if there would be subsequent interviews.
• Ask when the recruiter plans to make a selection or decision.
• Specify a time when you may contact the recruiter to learn of the decision.

Finally, don’t forget to send the employer a thank you letter or note after the interview

NIGERIA DROPPED IN THE LATEST FIFA RANKING

NIGERIA SLIP TO 67TH IN APRIL FIFA RANKING
By uwoghiren
Just because of their inability to secure an Afcon ticket, the Super Eagles dropped five places to the sixty-seventh position in the world in the latest Fifa ranking released on Thursday.
This fall is not far-fetched from the Super Eagles’ inability to defeat Egypt in two Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers in Kaduna and Alexandria – and in the process lost the ticket to feature at the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations billed for Gabon.
They also slipped five places to be ranked 14th best African side behind Algeria, Cote d'Ivoire, Ghana, Senegal, Egypt, Cape Verde, Tunisia, Congo DR, Guinea, Congo, Camerron, Morocco and Mali.
Meanwhile, Algeria remain at the top summit of African football after moving four places to the 33rd position in the world while second-placed Cote d'Ivoire climbed two places to 34th and Egypt zoomed nine places up to 44th in the world but are fifth in Africa.
While Argentina leapfrogged over Belgium to take the top spot in the world ranking as Chile stay third in the world.

Na wah o.... Girl fights conductor because of 10naira change

I’m always making jokes about men in suit who get into fights with conductors for their twenty naira change and I never for once thought I would one day make the list.
The only difference between me and them is, I was not wearing a suit when mine happened and I fought for something lesser, ten naira change.

It was a very sunny afternoon when I flagged a keke from Alaka Estate at Surulere heading towards Ojuelegba. They were two men seated at the back seat and I made the third passenger.
Usually, the fare for this distance is N50 but the keke man said N80 and because I saw a troop of men & women walking out from the estate, I didn’t want them to contend my space with me so I got in without arguments.
Towards Tejuosho, the keke man said, “I hope say you hold change oh.”
I kept mute. I had only a N200 and N1000 note in my bag but I thought N200 was a reasonable denomination. Even if it were not, he should have mentioned it before I got into his keke.

The other passengers alighted along the way. When we got to Ojuelegba, I handed the man the N200 and rather than give me my change, he hissed and started driving towards Surulere as though he was oblivious to my presence in the back-seat. I asked if his head was correct and he parked immediately. Then he hissed again, threw a N100 and a N10 at me in the back-seat and got out of the keke.

Oga, wey my ten naira change?

He eyes turned red as if he washed them with Yoruba stew. He said I dey craze, that he made himself clear before I got inside his keke.

Wait! What is ten naira? I know how many times I have written off amount way higher than that to taxi/keke/okada drivers and sellers generally but I can’t stand when people are rude ontop my own money. I’m usually the first to wave my hand and walk away if I see the driver or conductor making efforts to spilt my money into smaller denominations or if he has a look of empathy on his face but not when I was dealing with a mad man.

That missing ten naira suddenly felt like N1,000,000. To add insult to injury, he brought out two ten naira notes and said he dared me to collect it from him, that yes, he was going to ‘eat’ my money because he bought his fuel from black market.

He walked towards an Iya Basira at the road side and sat down. He was probably a regular of the iya basira cos she served him egusi and eba without questions. All along, I was staring at him with hands on akimbo as he swallowed a ball of eba, one after the other, amazed at how one can be this silly.
Anger had suddenly overwhelmed me. I felt like I was going to run mad if I didn’t give him a piece of mind. I walked up to him and said, “Since N10 is your problem, N10 will always be your problem till you are 80. Amen!”
I got him there. Yay!
He stood up immediately holding a ball of eba already dunked in soup and started abusing my existence in the typical agbero style.
Me, I was just shouting, “Back to sender! Back to sender!! Back to sender!!!”

I turned around and noticed some passersby were staring at us. Reality suddenly hit me. There I was, fighting for N10 in ojulegba of all places. If it were the bus stop of Banana Island, I wouldn’t be bothered. But Ojulegba? Ojulegba?
Tomorrow fame might meet me from my new novel and the only photos the internet would have of me are the ones taken by passersby on the day I fought at Ojulegba.
Devil be gone!
I composed myself and walked away.

Amazing!!! How I Lost A Job Because Of A Customised Facebook Name

Funny but true.
Read and learn from it.
I'm really not gonna bore you with how the whole interview went but it actually was going well until I was asked to give my facebook Id....

Considering how the hr was enjoying my response to his questions, I happily told him my facebook Id. Putting the name in the facebook search box, nothing of such was shown, he(hr) then said I shld spell it and I did that without a second thought(I never knew customising a facebook id is a job seeking crime). After spelling daniel omoniyi(not real name) as dhaniehl homohniyhi, the man said " I'm so sorry, we can't hire you".
I was so confused that I had to ask him why, and he said " your facebook id look unserious and fake, please use the door".

This is one of the little things we job seekers do not pay much attention to. If someone had opened that account for me, perhaps I will be looking for a way to kill the person now.

Still trying to get over losing a job over "just" a facebook Id.

Lesson learnt anywaiz.

Eating late at night

Do you eat dinner late at night and go to bed less than three hours later? Do you also suffer from unexplained post-nasal drip, cough, and difficulty swallowing? These could be signs of acid reflux, which, unbeknownst to many, can occur without the telltale signs of heartburn and indigestion. Further, if you want to nip it in the bud, all you may have to do is change your lifestyle to eat dinner earlier. Eating late at night, especially if you overeat and/or eat heavy foods, and then lying down shortly after, is a recipe for acid reflux.
Long work hours necessitate a late dinner for many.
Intermittent Fasting
Our ancestors did not have access to grocery stores or food around the clock. They would cycle through periods of feast and famine, and modern research shows this cycling produces a number of biochemical benefits. Today, simply by altering what and when you eat, you can rather dramatically alter how your body operates for the better.
One of the simplest ways to do this is via intermittent fasting.
There are many methods for doing this, but the one I recommend and personally use is to simply restrict your daily eating to a specific window of time , such as an eight-hour window from 11a.m. to 7p.m.
This gives you a 16-hour fasting "window" without much sacrifice on your part. It also ties in nicely with eating dinner at a reasonable hour (any time prior to 7 p.m.), while giving you
several hours for your food to digest before you lay down for
the night.
What Are the Benefits of Intermittent Fasting?
In this case, the earlier dinner will not only benefit any acid reflux that's present, but, when combined with a delayed breakfast at 11 a.m., will give your body the benefits of
remaining in a carefully timed "famine mode."
Benefits include the following:
Normalizing your insulin and leptin sensitivity, and boosting mitochondrial energy efficiency: One of the primary mechanisms that makes intermittent fasting so beneficial for
health is related to its impact on your insulin sensitivity.
While sugar is a source of energy for your body, it also promotes insulin resistance when consumed in the amounts found in our modern processed junk food diets. Insulin
resistance, in turn, is a primary driver of chronic disease— from heart disease to cancer.
Intermittent fasting helps reset your body to use fat as its primary fuel. mounting evidence confirms that when your body becomes adapted to burning FAT instead of sugar as its primary fuel, you dramatically reduce your risk of chronic disease.
Normalizing ghrelin levels , also known as "the hunger hormone."
Promoting human growth hormone (HGH) production:
Research has shown fasting can raise HGH by as much as 1,300 percent in women, and 2,000 percent in men, which plays an important part in health, fitness, and slowing the aging process. HGH is also a fat-burning hormone, which helps explain why fasting is so effective for weight loss. Lowering triglyceride levels and improving other biomarkers of disease.
Reducing oxidative stress: Fasting decreases the accumulation of oxidative radicals in the cell, and thereby prevents oxidative damage to cellular proteins, lipids, and nucleic acids associated with aging and disease.
Intermittent fasting is the most powerful tool I know to address insulin resistance. However, once the resistance is resolved and you are no longer overweight, have high blood pressure, diabetes, or are taking a statin drug you don't need to do it and would only benefit from doing it occasionally.
Eating Too Late at Night Throws Your Internal Clock Off Kilter If you're in need of more motivation to move your dinnertime up a few hours, emerging research suggests that the timing of your meals, for instance eating very late at night when you'd normally be sleeping, may throw off your body's internal clock and lead to weight gain. For instance, artificial light, such as a glow from your TV or computer, can serve as a stimulus for keeping you awake and, possibly, eating, when you should really be asleep.
In one study, mice that were exposed to dim light during the night gained 50 percent more weight over an eight-week
period than mice kept in complete darkness at night. They also had increased levels of glucose intolerance, a marker for pre-diabetes. The weight gain occurred even though the mice were fed the same amount of food and had similar activity levels, and the researchers believe the findings may hold true for humans as well.
When mice were exposed to night time light, they ended up eating more of their food when they would normally be sleeping, and this led to significant weight gain. However, in a second experiment when researchers restricted meals to times of day when the mice would normally eat, they did not gain weight, even when exposed to light at night. So when your light and dark signals become disrupted it not only changes the times you may normally eat, it also throws your metabolism off kilter, likely leading to weight gain.
The Case for Making Dinner Your Biggest Meal of the Day
You've probably heard the advice to make your mid-day meal the biggest of the day and have a lighter meal at dinner, which takes some stress off your body and allows you time to wind down for bedtime (rather than digesting a heavy meal). But this is debatable… and possibly all wrong. Some experts believe that eating your main meal at night may actually be more in-tune with your innate biological clock. Routinely eating at the wrong time may not only disrupt your biological clock and interfere with your sleep, but it may also devastate vital body functions and contribute to disease. According to Ori Hofmekler, author of The Warrior Diet: "Your body is programmed for nocturnal feeding. All your activities, including your feeding, are controlled by your autonomic nervous system, which operates around the circadian clock. During the day, your sympathetic nervous system (SNS) puts your body in an energy spending active mode, whereas during the night your parasympathetic nervous system (PSNS) puts your body in an energy replenishing relaxed and sleepy mode.
These two parts of your autonomic nervous system complement each other like yin and yang. Your SNS, which is stimulated by fasting and exercise, keeps you alert and active with an increased capacity to resist stress and hunger throughout the day. And your PSNS, which is stimulated by your nightly feeding, makes you relaxed and sleepy, with a better capacity to digest and replenish nutrients throughout the night. This is how your autonomic nervous system operates under normal conditions.
But that system is highly vulnerable to disruption. If you eat at the wrong time such as when having a large meal during the day, you will mess with your autonomic nervous system; you'll inhibit your SNS and instead turn on the PSNS, which will make you sleepy and fatigued rather than alert and active during the working hours of the day. And instead of spending energy and burning fat, you'll store energy and gain fat. This is indeed a lose-lose situation."
That being said, even if you do eat your main meal at night, you'll want to avoid eating it too close to bedtime as doing so may increase your risk of acid reflux symptoms. Ideally, try to give yourself a three to four hours window between your last meal of the day and bedtime. Personally, I eat my primary and really only major meal in the mid-afternoon. I snack a bit before and after but this seems to work for me as long as I get enough calories and protein.

Message To Guys Who Patronize Sugar Mummies.

Written by a concerned Nigerian.

I'm writing on this topic due to the numerous text messages and e-mails I get from readers asking me to link them up with sugar mummies. Guys, I want to state categorically that I don’t get involved in such messy deals. Why would a young man, instead of thinking and working for a better future, decide to live his life under the cover of a woman

who does nothing but use him to
satisfy her sexual urge?
I just pity girls who are so much after material things and fame without getting to know the stuff the man is made of. When you drive to all the big club houses in town, you see our so called big boys who are nothing but fools!!.. They throw the biggest parties in town, they keep the prettiest girls, they live in posh apartments, they have their class when it comes to cars and designer wears.

Guys, you know what? That is all they do with the allowance from sugar mummy. All these guys specialize in is dating old women, not because they are in love with them, but because they want to become intimacy gadgets, just to achieve their goals.

When you look at the corporate settings, you see some guys who are the female MD’s pets. These ones come to work whenever they like, they leave the office whenever they like, and they insult the manager at every slight provocation. They go against all the laid down rules of the company. But what do they get at the end of the day? Promotion instead of a query or sack letter. Some of them do it the good boy way. They become too committed to their job; they close late and are always the last to leave the office.

You are only looking for a sugar mummy because you see yourself as a failure in life. It is a shameful thing for a man to sell his pride just to become great. It is not worth it my guy. These sugar mummies will give you all the good things but not without the full dose of pain that comes with them.

You are happy now that unlike your fellow drivers and stewards, madam has rented a very fine apartment for you. She comes there when you are off duty just to have you waste your God-given substance. Nonsense!! Your day of pain is coming.

Why would you get involved in a relationship where you have no say of your own? You have a relationship with a very young girl who you have lied to, presenting the sugar mummy as your aunty. You trickishly send the girl out of the house whenever she is visiting. Nemesis will catch up on you someday!

Some sugar mummies have destroyed the lives of their younger lovers. Guy, don’t think you are too smart. She knows what you are doing, but she is waiting for the right time to strike. She knows you use the car she bought for you to pick your girls to the
salon and clubs. She knows you used her money to rent an apartment for your young lover.

But she is only waiting to get another fool like you to be servicing her before she strips you of everything you have. You will surely vomit it someday. I know of a 22 year old guy who stole N3million from his sugar mummy. She hunted the guy and she sent assassins to kill him, as I'm speaking, he is already a dead body..

Guys, why get the whole wealth, and loose heaven?
why sell your pride just for the comfort that lasts for a while? Even when you end it with her, you can never regain your pride. Don’t sell your birthright for a pot of porridge.

Even if things are too hard for you now, refuse to be involved in such a relationship that can give your mother heart ache. It’s a sad thing that some mothers these days support their sons having sugar mummies. These women have sent their daughters-in-law out of the house for a sugar mummy to move in and be responsible for feeding and maintenance of the whole family. If your mother is into this with you, I am very sorry for you because your situation is a very serious one. Your mother is just as greedy and foolish as you are.

Please think about this, and change your ways.. And to you Ladies, May God deliver your future husbands from the hands of Sugar Mummies!
