Entertaiment: Maheeda is bad news to gospel music – Sandra Ifudu

She’s new on the scene but already looking like a good bet that may bring in good tidings. Sandra Ifudu, gospel and inspirational singer once said she wanted to be better than her aunt, Dora Ifudu, who reigned in the 70s and 80s for her unique voice and music, and with the release of her first single ‘Let it Go’ she may just be on the gravy train to fame.

Not the one that would disarm you with brazen sexuality but Sandra has a unique beauty that gets to you like an infection. Her cherubic face has a touch of vulnerability you want to reach out to protect just as the almond forget-me-not eyes haunts your soul. Then when she speaks, the caressing soprano voice stirs something in you and you know you are in trouble – very big trouble!
Talking about her own brand of music, Sandra told Potpourri she does more of inspirational songs than gospel songs. “It is the same thing. The only difference is the message. I just want to sing about meaningful things without sounding gospel. I don’t intend to sound gospel at all. I’ll use sercular beats and all. Even my mode of dressing and lifestyle won’t be boring,” she said.

But she was quick to add that her not being boring does not include flaunting her sexuality aggressively. “You know it is normal for me as a lady to want to wear revealing clothes sometimes. I believe all women feel like that sometimes. But I will not deliberately choose to expose my body to sell my music because I believe my talent and good looks can take me to wherever I want to go,” she added.

On singers like Maheeda using sex to sell their music, Sandra said she would never be caught dead doing that, saying one should practice what one preaches. “Well, I am of the opinion that whatever you preach or talk about, you should at least be able to put it into practice to make it believable and doable. Even though I am not in any position to judge, I’ll say people like Maheeda are bad news to inspirational or gospel music because you can’t be preaching one thing and doing another thing

How Boko Haram leader, Abubakar Shekau was killed – Investigations

Details of how Abubakar Shekau, the impostor and leader of the Boko Haram terrorist group lost his left in a shootout with Nigerian troops in Konduga on Wednesday Sept. 17 emerged yesterday with military sources disclosing that he met his waterloo in an ambush reminiscent of the type the sect had been using to hack down Nigerian troops.

Vanguard gathered that when the first attack on Konduga whereby hundreds of insurgents were taken unawares and killed after over seven hours of fighting and several of their colleagues, arms and ammunition captured, the military commanders strategically urged his captured members to send a message to Shekau that they (insurgents) have routed the troops.

Before the captured insurgents were urged to make the contact and deliver the message, the military commanders had promised them that their cooperation would play a role in the level of punishment to be meted to them after the battle hence they felt reassured.SHEKAU

Also, the captured insurgents had disclosed that Shekau usually moved in a convoy of cars painted in military colours while he sits in a MOWAG Armoured tank with Boko Haram inscription on its front.

When Shekau was contacted, his captured men spoke to him in Arabic, assuring him that they had taken over Konduga, thereby giving him the all clear to proceed from Sambisa Forest. To convince him further, a set of his men captured were told to sing the victory song in Kanuri language they normally sing at the background.

Having convinced himself that the messenger was his chief courier in such situation and the message is authentic, he and his followers made for Konduga, heavily armed with Anti-Aircraft weapons, General Purpose Machine Guns, several AK 47 rifles and other IEDS’.

However, on entering Konduga town, he and his followers were encircled by strategically placed and heavily armed Nigerian soldiers. Immediately he contacted the messenger and discovered that something was amiss, he ordered his followers to start shooting in all direction.

This spurred the Army Commanders to give the directive to open fire. When he discovered that the fire power of the Nigerian Army who used both Infantry and Artillery weaponry was overpowering that of his men, he jumped out of the MOWAG and made to escape.

But eagle-eyed Nigerian Soldiers spotted him and opened fire in him, shattering his legs in the process. It was learnt that he also received bullet wounds in other parts of his body leading to his bleeding to death.

Recall that Military sources had on Sunday night disclosed that Nigerian troops scored a strategic victory in the current battle against terrorists operating in the North East on September 17.

The sources noted that during a desperate attempt to capture Konduga in their delusion to eventually marching on and capturing Maiduguri, the man who had been mimicking Late Abubakar Shekau in recent videos was feared to have been finally killed.

The sources said, “It is getting more certain that the terrorists’ Commander who has been mimicking Shekau in those videos is the one killed in Konduga on September 17, 2014.”

Affirming the development, PRNigeria sources said the suspected demise of the Boko Haram leader is responsible for the scattering of the sect members in different independent locations in the neighbouring countries, especially in Cameroon noticed in recent days.

The security sources noted further that “the process of confirming that the dead body we have is the same as that character who has been posing as Shekau is ongoing” adding “He is definitely a prominent terrorist commander. I don’t want to say anything about this yet please.”

Another high ranking military source insisted that the resemblance is too striking to be a coincidence.

“They cited his facial marks, beards and teeth apart from the recovery by the Nigerian troops of some of the Armoured Vehicles and Hilux jeeps that had featured in previous videos of the prime suspect.

“The officers assured that the Defence Headquarters will soon address the nation after full investigation of their latest discovery”.

Meanwhile, the Defence headquarters yesterday dismissed insinuation that Cameroonian military personnel carried out raids on Boko Haram terrorists into border communities in Nigeria.

According to a report posted on its twitter handle, DHQ said “There was no raid whatsoever in any part of Nigeria’s territory in pursuit of terrorists as claimed in some reports allegedly quoting Cameroon military authorities”.

“All operations ongoing in the environs of Konduga & all associated border location within the country are completely being undertaken by Nigerian troops”

How I abandoned my husband, 3 children and ended up a robber

LAGOS— Operatives of the Special Anti Robbery Squad, SARS, Ikeja, Lagos have smashed a syndicate, arresting a woman and a man that specialised in robbing unsuspecting passengers who board commercial cab along Badagry-Mile 2 route.

According to Police sources, the suspects identified as Ahmed Isiaka and Victoria Amodu are part of five-man robbery gang operating along Seme-Badagry- Mile 2 route.

One of the apprehended robbers, 27-year-old Victoria, while narrating her story said: “I was arrested last Wednesday at Dakar Hotel in Seme where I used to work as a prostitute.

“I am from Edo State. I came to Lagos last February to look for greener pastures when my husband was constantly beating me. We were married for eight years.

“I abandoned my husband and three children and came to Lagos with the intention of living under the bridge until I found a place to lay my head. Fortunately for me, I didn’t have to sleep under the bridge as I met a lady in a commercial bus I boarded who had compassion on me when she saw me crying in the bus.

“She took me to the hotel where she was working as a prostitute and introduced me into the league of prostitutes.

“Everything was going on well until Okanlawon patronised me in the hotel. The first time we spent the night together. After that night I didn’t see him again untill three weeks later.

“Weeks later, someone stole my N100,000 from my room in the hotel while I was asleep. While I was still lamenting the loss, the collector of our Esusu contribution disappeared with my N150,000.

“As I was still grieving over the loss, Okanlawon came to the hotel to see me. He told me to accompany him to a night club. Initially I declined but after much persuasion I followed him.

“Instead of going to the club, he took me to his place where we spent the night together. In the morning, he asked me to enter the front seat of his vehicle and he started picking passengers and I asked him why he was carrying passengers but he didn’t respond.

“It was when he and his gang members attacked the passengers that I knew what he was into. I told him I didn’t want to take part in their operations. But he threatened to deal with me, saying nobody would know my whereabouts if I didn’t co-operate with the gang.

“That was why I had a rethink and continued to participate in robbery operations. The first time I participated, I wasn’t given anything while at two other times I was given N15,000 and N10,000 respectively.”

Trouble for the gang

Vanguard learnt that trouble started for the gang after a victim whom they robbed reported the incident at the Ojo Police Division which began investigating the activities of the gang.

Ironically, the female police officer investigating the case at the division was also robbed by the gang when she boarded their vehicle while in mufti.

She was able to get details of the vehicle during the attack. The cab was later traced to Iyana-Iba the next day when unsuspecting passengers were already boarding it.

Ahmed was then arrested while the other members escaped. The case was later transferred to SARS for further investigation which eventually led to the arrest of Victoria.

Mode of operation

The gang had two operational styles. First, they could use two operational vehicles.

One of the suspects, Ahmed would occupy the driver’s seat while Victoria, the only female suspect in the gang sits in front and another gang member at the back as unsuspecting passengers board the cab.

The other two members would sit in the back-up vehicle. Immediately they get to a lonely place along the road, the gang members in the back-up cab would signal the driver with the passenger to stop by flashing his phone.

The driver would then pretend to be fixing his vehicle that would have suddenly become faulty. This will allow those in the back-up vehicle to launch an attack. That way the passengers won’t suspect any foul play.

The second mode of operation is that they use one vehicle with Victoria sitting beside the driver to pick passengers without the back-up vehicle.

Ahmed’s account

During interrogation, 33-year-old Ahmed Isiaka from Kwara State told Vanguard: “I was introduced to the gang by Okanlawon last November. Other members of the gang are Nuru, Victoria and Isiaka.

“I am the driver of the operational vehicle, a Honda Accord, while Nuru used to drive the back-up vehicle, a Mazda.

“We used to operate along Iyana-Iba-Badagry expressway. Usually, Victoria sits at the front while another member sits at the back. I take passengers from Iyana-Iba bus stop going to Badagry. Before we get to a lonely area between Agbara and Oko-Afo the other members of the gang in the back-up vehicle would signal me to stop.

“Immediately, I receive the signal, I would pretend like the vehicle was faulty then park and pretended to be fixing the vehicle. While this was going on, the other members would strike.

“We don’t use guns or juju to rob passengers, instead we use wheel spanner. We don’t even make them unconscious during operation. Usually we operate in the night. Sometimes we operate in broad daylight.

“Depending on our loot, I could get as much as N10,000 from one operation. And I have participated in about four robbery operations.

“Okanlawon used to take all the phones we get from operations. Before I joined the gang I was a commercial bus driver.

“I am married with a child. I used to live at Ibafo before my rent expired and I moved to 1, Denton Street in Oyingbo.

Politics: Anenih as oracle in chief

CHAIRMAN of the Peoples Democratic Party Board of Trustees, Chief (Dr) Tony Anenih, has been called a political tactician-in-chief. He has been called the Oracle of Uromi. He also has been called Nigeria’s political Nostradamus.

What is self-evident is that, in the firmament of the country’s politics for more than three decades now, Anenih is a man of exceptional importance and reputation.

More to the point of this article, the recent adoption of President Goodluck Jonathan as the PDP candidate for the February 14, 2015 presidential election by the party’s National Executive Committee proves once again that Anenih possesses unmatched capacity for political prognosis and strategy.

Anenih it was who, in early 2013, first suggested that the party should grant Jonathan automatic ticket to seek re-election in 2015. At a PDP family dinner held in Abuja on the night of Thursday, May 30, 2013, he reiterated the idea and the suggestion garnered national attention.

During the event, the BoT Chairman explained how experience had shown that squabbling for tickets at primaries invariably led to internal crises in the party before the main elections. Consequently, he advocated the automatic ticket option in order to avoid unnecessary and prolonged crises within the party.

At the time, a number of party members supported Anenih’s proposal. However, there were also a few who did not agree with the BoT Chairman’s idea. Fast-forward two years and four months to September 2015 and Anenih’s suggestion took on a life of its own. First, PDP members of the House of Representatives endorsed Jonathan to fly the party’s flag in 2015.  Second, the PDP governors followed suit.

The party’s BoT also toed the same line and then the National Executive Committee crowned it all, thereby indicating that the entire party had seen and accepted the wisdom in Anenih’s proposal.

To further buttress his unrivalled grasp of the intricacies of the nation’s politics, while others were dilly-dallying and unable to take a stand on whether Jonathan will run for re-election in 2015, Anenih was also the first to take a categorical stand.

Speaking at a gathering of party members during a tour of the South-South zone by the PDP chairman, Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu, Anenih said, “I want the national chairman to go home with a word from the father that come 2015, Jonathan will run for presidency for the second term.”

Clearly, Anenih’s confidence in Jonathan’s intention to run goes beyond what may be regarded as a political filial relationship, being that he referred to himself as Jonathan’s political father.  It is anchored in the reality that, as the sitting BoT Chairman and a founding member of the PDP, he is very conversant with the inner workings, challenges, and the many successes of the party.

It is worth recalling here that, to mark the 2015 Democracy Day, Anenih issued a statement in which he not only laid out some of Jonathan’s achievements; he also listed the major accomplishments of the PDP since the country’s return to democratic rule in 1999.

In that statement, Anenih was quoted as saying: “Let me express how grateful we, in the Peoples Democratic Party, are to our fellow compatriots that they have entrusted our great party with steering the ship of state since our nation’s return to democracy in 1999.  It has been a great privilege and a momentous undertaking.

And though—as with all human endeavours—we have had differences with our fellow citizens on the other side of the political divide, our on-going democratic journey is proof that the PDP continues to faithfully discharge its foremost duty to our country, which is sustaining a stable, functional State.”

Anenih also said: “Indeed, in its 15 years at the helm of affairs of our great nation, the PDP has created an atmosphere that allows total freedom of expression, dissent and the greatest level of inclusive political participation ever recorded in our country. A case in point is that never before has Nigeria seen the high number of women in senior elective and appointive positions as obtains today under the PDP’s leadership.”

Additionally, Anenih further remarked: “Moreover, it is to the credit of the President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan-led PDP government that this ambience of democratic freedom has encouraged the most combative opposition rhetoric ever experienced in Nigeria’s history. President Jonathan has also demonstrated respect for the rule of law by his non-interference in judicial, legislative and electoral matters.”

In view of the fact that as Chairman of PDP’s BoT, Anenih has firsthand knowledge of these achievements and many others; he can say with full conviction that Jonathan will seek re-election in 2015.  And just as it has been proved that he had incomparable political foresight when way back in 2013 he began canvassing for Jonathan to be granted automatic ticket in 2015, it is safe to say that in the coming months, his certainty in Jonathan’s re-election bid and ultimate success will be proved right.

Robbers shoot pastor’s mouth for begging them not to rape daughter

The heartlessness of some armed robbers who not only steal from their victims, but also kill or maim them, was manifested recently when a gang of armed robbers attacked a pastor of  pentecostal church in Abeokuta, Ogun State and shot him in the mouth for daring to plead that his daughter should not be rap€d.

According to information gathered by Crime Reports, the gang members, including Sodiq Asimiyu (21) a.k.a. Nokia, Lekan a.k.a Goddey, Ayo a.k.a. AY, Seun Ojo a.k.a. Sepe, Kassim and Sunday, among others, assembled at a hemp joint at Ojupa area, Oke-Bode, Abeokuta, on May 31, 2014, from where they took off to a robbery operation, using two Bajaj motorcycles.

They succeeded in their moves when they came across a man driving his Nissan X-terra Sport Utility Vehicle, whom they dispossessed of his vehicle in front of State Hospital, Ijaye, Abeokuta.

Unsatisfied with the previous day’s loot, the gang took off again with the X-Terra vehicle at about 5a.m. on Sunday, June 1 and moved to Elite area, Idi-Aba, Abeokuta, where they blocked a car driven by a Reverend at about 5.50a.m. while on his way to church with his wife and daughter.

A police source further informed Crime Reports that the man was dispossessed of N150,000, a Samsung Galaxy tablet and HTC phone belonging to his daughter, among other items. Not satisfied, one of the armed robbers who eyed the cleric’s daughter with lust, ordered her to move away from her parents into the church, with the intention to $exually abuse her.

On sensing this, the Reverend was said to have pleaded with them to spare his daughter since he had surrendered all they wanted to them. In a fit of anger over the pleading, one of the gang members pulled the trigger of the gang’s gun and shot the man in the mouth. Not yet done, another member went to their operational vehicle, brought out a bottle of beer, opened it and poured the content on the man of God where he fell. They left afterwards.

Nemesis however caught up with Sodiq when he was arrested on September 11, 2014 when he reportedly came back to Abeokuta for another operation. He was caught with a cut-to-size single barrel gun put in a bag. Also arrested was one Tunde Egunjobi in whose house Sodiq was nabbed. Egunjobi was said to be the one releasing his motorcycle for robbery operation and had confessed to the police that he knew the gang members as armed robbers. Both are currently undergoing investigations at the Anti- Robbery section of the State Criminal Investigation Department, Eleweran, in Ogun State Police Command.

Below are the excerpts of interview with the two suspects:

Sodiq Asimiyu

This is the first I would be going for robbery with the gang. I started with the gang six months ago. Ayo a.k.a. AY introduced me to robbery. I met AY at Saidi’s hemp joint where I used to smoke marijuana. He asked me to follow him somewhere but I didn’t know we were going for robbery.
We went to Suraju a.k.a. Dajunja’s house at Oke-Bodea area of Abeokuta, from where the gang took off for robbery operation. I did not follow them that night but I knew they were going for robbery.
Early the following morning, we entered the vehicle and started moving round the town looking for a victim to rob.

Suddenly, I saw that AY who drove the vehicle blocked a vehicle by the side. We ordered the driver, his wife and daughter to lie down and dispossessed them of their belongings. Kassim shot the Reverend and Goddey opened a beer bottle and poured its content on him.
I was given N40,000 out of the N150,000 collected from our victim.

I returned to Lagos after the operation to continue my meat selling business. I came back to Abeokuta recently and was given a gun by one Mojeed who is a cultist. He told me that there was clash between him and other cult members over the presidency of the Eiye cult to which he belongs. He asked me to join him on a revenge mission. He put the gun in a bag which he gave me. I was also initiated into Eiye cult about four months ago.

What happened was that anytime I had nothing to do, I would borrow Tunde’s motorcycle and one guy called School Boy and I would use it to snatch bags and dispossess people of their belongings. I used to give Tunde returns. I have been smoking marijuana for a very long time. I cannot remember the exact number of years but it is not less than five years.

Tunde Egunjobi

I knew Sodiq and School Boy also at hemp joint where I used to smoke marijuana. I knew that they were robbers but I didn’t report them because we live within the same community. Sodiq was arrested in my house.

When contacted, the Ogun State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Ikemefuna Okoye, confirmed the story, saying that the two suspects would be charged to court after the completion of investigations.

Collapsed church building: T.B Joshua to visit South Africa every month in memory of martyrs of faith(Read Condolence Speech)

Looks like T.B Joshua won't be addressing the bribery allegation against him any time soon..,Instead, he has put out a condolence message to all those who lost their lives in the unfortunate Synagogue building collapse. He calls them Martyrs of faith ,,,,
During his sunday church service today he said this below..

CONDOLENCE SPEECH - T.B. JOSHUA

"Church and viewers from all over the world, join me in observing one minute silence in memory of martyrs of faith. Bless their souls. Those who are affected in one way or the other and those who passed on to glory, their greatest desire is to see that the work of salvation they died and suffered for continues and to reach unreachable places.

For that, what they are coming here for should be taken to meet them in their country. Once in a month, I will be travelling to South Africa to meet people from South Africa and other nations who find South Africa easier to visit, in memory of martyrs of faith. South Africa, I mean, Southern Africa, I love you with the love of God.

"My ministration in South Africa will not be on Sundays so that people would have the opportunity to attend their respective churches. This kind of faith expressed by South Africans deserves this kind of blessing from God – satan is a liar.I have been your pastor, preaching to you. Now, it is your turn that you are preaching to me. Thank you for preaching to me. I received a lot of emails and text messages full of preaching, teaching, counseling from you. "It is your turn that you are giving back what you have received in terms of preaching, teaching and counseling. Thank you for understanding the time I am in.There is a time to give and a time to receive. There is a time to run and a time to slow awhile. There is a time to laugh and a time to cry. There is a time to be born and a time to die.

Boko Haram to free 219 Chibok girls in swap deal

Chibok girls

Source: The Nations
After much persuasion, Boko Haram has agreed to release the abducted 219 Chibok girls if the Federal Government will simultaneously set free its 18 key commanders.
The two parties have asked their representatives to go back to their leaders on the new swap deal proposal.
Prior to the latest agreement at the talks in Abuja, which was witnessed by some officials of the International Committee of the Red Cross(ICRC), Boko Haram had insisted on a piecemeal release of the girls, with priority given to 30 married Christians among them.
The Federal Government also offered to release six of the 18 sect leaders in detention.
The two sides maintained a parallel stand until they met again in Abuja at a session facilitated by the President, Civil Rights Congress (CRC),  Comrade Shehu Sani.
The sect said if the government attempted to secure the girls by force, it might lead to fatalities.
At the meeting, Boko Haram also maintained that it had the capacity to “engage the Federal Government for 45 years”.
It said the outcome of the talks would determine the end of the insurgency.
Some of those at the talks gave insights into the new dimension to the moves to free the Chibok girls, who were abducted from their hostel on April 15.
It was gathered that the session was attended by ICRC officials.
One of those who attended  said: “The sect shifted its position and agreed to release all the girls instead of 30 Christian married girls it had promised. But Boko Haram said it does not trust the government going by previous experience.
“If the government had respected previous talks, the Chibok girls were initially meant to be off the hook during the Eid-el Fitr festival. Again about two weeks ago, a delegation was already in Maiduguri until the swap deal was bungled.
“Some security agents only advised on the release of six out of the 18 leaders of the sect. They rated the rest 12 as dangerous.
“When the insurgents found out, they backtracked and demanded the release of the 18 leaders. The development paved the way for the latest talks in Abuja which involved the ICRC.”
“By the new arrangement, ICRC will pick up the girls and simultaneously hand over the detained 18 leaders to Boko Haram.
“The government also said it would not free the detained leaders of Boko Haram until all the girls were released.
Asked what was eventually agreed upon, another source at the session said: “We generally agreed that all the parties should go back to their leaders on the agreement reached. The government said no to piecemeal release of the girls and Boko Haram claimed that it will not have any business with the government until all the 18 leaders of the sect are freed.
“After the Eid-el-Kabir festival, the two parties will meet again on the terms to finalise the agreement or part ways.
“Before the meeting rose, Boko Haram representatives warned against the use of force to liberate the girls. It also made it clear that it had the “capacity to take on the Federal Government for the next 45 years.”
Responding to a question on whether the sect will end the insurgency or not, another source said: “The delegation from Boko Haram said the outcome of the latest round of talks will determine whether they should ceasefire or not.”

What are the health benefits of watermelon?

Watermelon
Along with cantaloupe and honeydew, watermelons are a member of the botanical family Cucurbitaceae.

Nutritional breakdown

One cup of diced watermelon (152 grams) contains 43 calories, 0 grams of fat, 2 grams of sodium, 11 grams of carbohydrate (including 9 grams of sugar and 1 gram of fiber) and 1 gram of fiber. One cup of watermelon will provide 17% of vitamin A, 21% of vitamin C, 2% of iron and 1% of calcium needs for the day.
Watermelon also contains thiamin, riboflavin, niacin, vitamin B-6, folate, pantothenic acid, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, zinc, copper, manganese, selenium, choline, lycopene and betaine. According to the National Watermelon Promotion Board, watermelon contains more lycopene than any other fruit or vegetable.
Despite being a great source of the above nutrients, watermelon is made up of 92% water.

Possible health benefits

Consuming fruits and vegetables of all kinds has long been associated with a reduced risk of many lifestyle-related health conditions. Many studies have suggested that increasing consumption of plant foods like watermelon decreases the risk of obesity and overall mortality, diabetes, heart disease and promotes a healthy complexion and hair, increased energy, overall lower weight.
Asthma prevention: The risks for developing asthma are lower in people who consume a high amount of certain nutrients. One of these nutrients is vitamin C, found in many fruits and vegetables including watermelon.
Blood pressure: A study published by the American Journal of Hypertension found that watermelon extract supplementation reduced ankle blood pressure, brachial blood pressure and carotid wave reflection in obese middle-aged adults with prehypertension or stage 1 hypertension and that watermelon extract improved arterial function.
Diets rich in lycopene may help protect against heart disease.
Cancer: As an excellent source of the strong antioxidant vitamin C as well as other antioxidants, watermelon can help combat the formation of free radicals known to cause cancer. Lycopene intake has been linked with a decreased risk of prostate cancer prevention in several studies.
Digestion and regularity: Watermelon, because of its water and fiber content, helps to prevent constipation and promote regularity for a healthy digestive tract.
Hydration: Made up of 92% water and full of important electrolytes, watermelon is a great snack to have on hand during the hot summer months to prevent dehydration.
Inflammation: Choline is a very important and versatile nutrient in watermelon that aids our bodies in sleep, muscle movement, learning and memory. Choline also helps to maintain the structure of cellular membranes, aids in the transmission of nerve impulses, assists in the absorption of fat and reduces chronic inflammation.1
Muscle soreness: Watermelon and watermelon juice have been shown to reduce muscle soreness and improve recovery time following exercise in athletes. Researchers believe this is likely do to the amino acid L-citrulline contained in watermelon.
Skin: Watermelon is also great for your skin because it contains vitamin A, a nutrient required for sebum production that keeps hair moisturized. Vitamin A is also necessary for the growth of all bodily tissues, including skin and hair.
Adequate intake of vitamin C (one cup of watermelon provides 21% of daily needs) is also needed for the building and maintenance of collagen, which provides structure to skin and hair. Watermelon also contributes to overall hydration, which is vital for having healthy looking skin and hair.

Boko Haram: Shekau impersonator killed by Nigerian troops?

The Nigerian military may have recorded a major victory in the war against Boko Haram as the man suspected to be mimicking late Abubakar Shekau in recent videos from the sect, may have been killed during the September 17th battle in Konduga, Borno state.

A senior military source said "it is getting more certain that the terrorists' commander who has been mimicking Shekau in those videos is the one killed in Konduga on September 17."

Sources at the image making company of the Nigerian government, PRNigeria, say the death of the man believed to be the leader of the group is responsible for the scattering of the sect members in different independent locations in neighboring countries.

Security sources did not deny the suspicion but cautioned that "the process of confirming that the dead body we have is the same as that character who has been posing as Shekau is ongoing. He is definitely a prominent terrorist commander. I don't want to say anything about this yet please."

Another high ranking military source said that the resemblance between the man killed and the one seen in recent videos posted by the sect group is quite striking, citing his facial marks, beards and teeth as some of the striking resemblance features.

Military officers say the Defence Headquarters will address the nation after a full investigation of their latest discovery has been done.

Meanwhile the Defense headquarters say five members of the sect group surrendered their arms to the Nigerian troops yesterday, pleading for mercy. They said some captured members of the sect group are helping with useful information regarding future planned attacks by the sect.

“THE PERMANENT HOUSE GIRLFRIEND”

Talking about Love and relationship

A friend of mine woke up with this message running ‘a track and field’ on his mind, too heavy in his heart that he couldn’t hold it in for another hour, "I don’t know who am destined to bless with this revelation today, I wish you could just pause a little bit, take a moment and read these words slowly at your own pace.
There was this friend I knew who was always getting beaten by her boyfriend, day and night, and so one day she decided to move out of his house, I was happy when I learnt she had moved out. For a week the neighborhood was peaceful and quiet, at least no one was hearing their voices, only to come home one day to find her back in his house, cooking afang soup with bomb shot in his kitchen, a man who is yet to pay a dime on your head?, I was so hurt to my bones, but then, that is the kind of price tags some women have gladly placed on themselves.
Without any atom of shame you pack your bags and move in with a man like you were moving into your father’s house, you cook his food, wash his boxers, clean his house, prepare his bath, run his errands, polish his shoes, scratch his back and even shave his buttocks, and at the end of the day the young man still has the right to decide whether or not you are fit for a companion. What arrant nonsense! Rendering wifely services to a boyfriend? Isn’t that like a semi-marriage without a certificate? Tell me why he should busy himself with the issues of marriage when he’s already enjoying the WIFELY benefits and services you are freely providing, are you MTN?
Yes get angry with me if you want, that is the idea anyway, am not revealing this so you can be cold, am writing this to provoke your spirit to anger, if what am saying is annoying you so much then let your anger cause you to pack your bags and leave his house, stop making yourself so cheap before a man who can only offer you crumbs and a few slices of bread, why hurry now for that which you will enjoy in its fullest later on? Oh! Because he bought one bottle of dry gin for your father it has now given you the right to pack yourself to his house? What is a bottle of dry gin that you cannot buy for your father? Is that your price? He bought one Buba for your mother last December and so what? Even if he bought a tortoise for all the elders in your village it still doesn’t give you the license to enslave yourself to him.
I ask you this questions today, why lower your standard? Why place a chicken-change price tag on your head? What respect and honor do you seek from a man whom you have already emptied yourself to? Have you forgotten who you are? Can you not remember that your price is “far above rubies?” one that cannot be bought nor traded? Now that he has seen every pimple on your backside what is so special about you?
Madam “permanent house girlfriend” please pack your bags and leave that house at once, you do not belong there! You are too precious to be measured on a scale of oranges!
“Oga landlord” please release that lady to go, she is not your wife, if you want wifely benefits go and marry her properly, or better still go to your village and hire a house girl, that bottle of dry gin you gave to her father 3yrs ago has expired, how many more years will you steal from her? DIARIS GOD O!"
