Eric Bailly has joined Manchester United from Villarreal on a four-year deal. Here's a closer look at Jose Mourinho's first signing since taking charge.
Mourinho said: "Eric is a young central defender with great natural talent. He has progressed well to date and has the potential to become one of the best around.

After the deal was wrapped up, the defender  said: "It is a dream come true to be joining Manchester United. To play football at the highest level is all I have ever wanted to do.

Bailly has won 15 international caps for Ivory Coast

The Villarreal defender has passed his medicals at United according to Sky Sports.

Reports surfaced over the weekend that United were close to agreeing a deal for the 22 year old centre back, a news from the club official further opened up that the club wouldn't stand in the way of the transfer once all the parties involved are happy.

The Ivorian would be joining for a fee in the region of £30m and would be Mourinho's first signing as United manager.
