Incoming
reports have it that players of the Super Eagles, were on Sunday
afternoon booed by fans at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport in Abuja.
Nigeria
were yesterday beaten 1-0 by Sudan in Khartoum, a result that leaves
their ambitions of defending their Africa Cup of Nations title, hanging
by a thread.
According to frontline sports journalist Kayode Tijani on Twitter,
“Super Eagles booed seriously now at Abuja Airport. Fracas as security
beats some and tried to stop booing fans”
The Super Eagles have
immediate chance of revenge and redemption, as they host the Sudanese on
Wednesday in the return leg to be played in Abuja.
